Isn’t this a wonderful decoration for Spring? A violet strewn Easter egg sailing ship riding the waves! I found it in Paris and it reminds me of the lovely embellished French celluloid postcards created in the first two decades of the 20th century. Although the ship displays beautifully on its own, I believe that originally it must have been designed to attach to a large card, box or other container.

The ship is 6 ½” tall x 5” wide. It is made of molded celluloid that is tinted purple, green and gold. Its sail, anchor, and flag are decorated with violets. It is a stunning piece which begs to be displayed. It is in excellent condition.
