Straw Flowers Embedded in Lucite Sterling Silver Pin Brooch
$38.00 I have tried to grow straw flowers in my garden, too many trees, not enough sun...so I will have to be happy with the variety that is encased in plastic...high quality plastic and I have a large collection that I started when I was very young. This pin brooch has seven (my lucky #), blue corn straw flowers mounted on a stem with leaves, which makes it a flower too. Done in tested sterling silver this pin is a least fifty yrs old. Measures 1-1/2" long and 1" wide. This vintage pin is in mint condition and will look fabulous worn on an any outfit and will truly make a fashion statement.
Lucite was originally introduced to the marketplace by DuPont in 1937, and is the common name associated with an acrylic resin. In its original and basic form, Lucite is clear, but it was often tinted in a wide range of colors and tones. After World War II, Bakelite was no longer cost effective to produce, but Lucite was and still is today.
