Cameo en Habille Marked 10K "Diamond Necklace" Ring
$258.00 Don't you just love en habille, meaning jewelry wearing jewelry? I do, and this is certainly an exquisite example. The 1920's carved shell cameo is highly domed to display the necklace, and has been loved and worn so much it is very smooth. Her features are beautifully defined, her profile simply gorgeous. She wears a classical dress adorned with flowers and a diamond necklace of great sparkle. The ring is marked 10K, and tested. The mounting has a bow of mixed color gold on each side as decorations on the shoulder. No faults are found. The ring top measures 1" tall and 7/8" across. She has the loose shoulder baring clothing as was typical in the 20's . The curls in her hair dates her to this time period as well. SIZE 7.
Cameos make an incredible traditional bridal gift from mother to daughter, usually given with the intent of wearing at the wedding ceremony, and to eventually pass down to their own daughter. They also make a very popular choice for "Something Borrowed". I think this ring has gone through at least two, maybe three generations to be this worn down.
