Mazer Bros. Signed Designer Venitian Art Glass Gold-plated Pin Brooch
$175.00 Fabulous Heavy Gold Plate Pin Brooch made by the Mazer Bros Co during the WWII era. This Beauty features three small and one large wonderful Art Glass stones. SIGNED! You can see the swirling of the reds and blues of the karat gold in the glass. So much skill and care taken to give this piece its eye catching appeal. The saphiret stones are prong set and open backed. The only way to get this color in glass is to add karat, carat gold. Measures 2-1/4" tall and 1-1/2" across. Excellent condition. The pics show what looks like wear.. but it is reflection.
The Mazer family immigrated to the US from Russia. Joseph Mazer and his brother Lincoln founded Mazer Bros. in New York during the 1920's. They first began creating costume jewelry in 1927. The brothers split the business in 1946. Joseph Mazer continued to make costume jewelry until 1981.
