Ornate antique French sterling silver napkin ring richly decorated with Rococo style raised repousse. Patterned with rocailles and floral accents. Featuring a Baroque figural bust of a smiling cherub or putti figure with wings. Resting above an oval cartouche framed by rocailles and C-scrolls, with a cluster of flowers below. Monogrammed with engraved letter E. Hallmarked with the French Minerva 1st standard hallmark, which depicts the head of the goddess Minerva with a number 1 beside her to denote a silver content of .950/1000 silver (higher than sterling and almost pure silver). Maker's mark for Madame Regina Benvenisti, active circa 1893 at 8 rue Martel, Paris. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with use and age. Measures 1 1/2" tall x 2" diameter. Weighs 35g.
