Outstanding antique Belle Epoque era French .800 silver umbrella parasol handle or dress cane handle. Featuring a curved form with fluted paneling. Embellished with a ribbon bow. The handle is hallmarked with the French head of the wild boar, in use from 1838 to indicate a silver content of .800/1000. Maker's marks for the Société Parisienne d'Orfèvrerie, active 1910-1914 at 118 rue du Temple, Paris. Measures 3" length. In overall good condition and finely housed in the original presentation box together with eight spoke tips. The box shows wear commensurate with use, measures 4 1/2" x 4" x 1 1/2" tall.
