Delightful antique to vintage French .800 silver cup or tumbler. Beautiful elegant styling to this cup with guilloche engraving of flowers and floral wreaths. Monogrammed with interlaced initials BC. Gorgeous gold vermeil interior. In good condition. Measures 2 3/4" height with an opening measuring 2 1/4" diameter. Weighs 82 grams. Hallmarked with the French Minerve 2nd standard hallmark, depicting the profile of the goddess Minerva with a number 2 beside her designating a silver content of .800/1000 (at least 80% pure silver and just under the .925 standard for sterling silver). Maker's mark is slightly rubbed, but appears to be that of silversmiths Chéramy et Salomon, active circa 1900's to 1920 at 19 boulevard Malesherbes, Paris.
