Exceptional antique 19th century hand painted porcelain portrait plaque. Circa 1870s. Portraying a beautiful lady dressed in black with white lace fichu collar. Hand painted in small brushstrokes with a skilled hand to render every fine detail, even to the lashes fringing her green eyes. Her dark hair is swept up and falls in a cascade of curls at her shoulders. KPM quality. Accented with raised white enamel on the lace and pearl earring. Signed by the artist E. Yvetot. Housed in an old hand crafted wooden frame, likely original. Having a folding easel for table top display. There is an old label under the easel, partially worn, with an inscription perhaps of the name of the sitter and a date. In overall good condition with general wear. Painting is in very good condition, colors are beautiful. Wear to the wooden frame, scratches and cracks to the back, missing one screw from the back corner. Part of the easel foot has had a repair. Frame measures 13 1/4" x 10 3/8"
