Antique French double scent caddy. Featuring a pair of Baccarat cut crystal perfume or cologne bottles with faceted stoppers and unique triangular shaped bodies. Unsigned but undoubtedly early Baccarat bottles that predate the 1936 acid etched logos. The famed cristallerie used paper labels from 1860 on, which often got lost, worn or washed away. Mounted with opulent gilt ormolu collars. Housed within gilt ormolu encasement embellished with stylized foliage and twisted rope trim. Decorated further with finely detailed dancing figures dressed in 18th century style fashion. A charming addition to a collection of perfume bottles. Perfect for display on a vanity or dresser and incorporate with your favorite fragrances. Overall in good antique condition. There is a fleabite to the upper edge on one bottle. One faceted stopper has a small nibble to the very top tip, the other having a couple of nicks to the bottom of the stopper's base. The framework is in good condition with little wear commensurate with age and use. Measures 4 1/2" length x 2 5/8" width x 4 7/8" tall.
