A charming antique French silver and glass scent bottle. Featuring a unique alligator texture to the glass vial. The hinged lid opens to reveal a gilt vermeil interior and a cut glass stopper. Hallmarked with the wild boar's head, France standard for .800/1000 silver. The mark was typically used on small objects of 80% pure silver content, close to .925 sterling. Also bearing an unknown silversmith's mark, visible in the photos. In very good condition. Measuring 2 1/4" length.
