A vintage 14k yellow gold ladies dinner ring, circa 1930's to 1940's. Beautifully crafted, timeless and luxurious in design. The ring features a 1.20ct natural almandite garnet surrounded by ten cultured pearls and trimmed with a border of eighteen natural almandite garnets. A lovely composition, with a gorgeous color combination of red and white. Marked 585, European standard for 14k. Weight of the colored stones is approx. 2.28ct. The ring weighs a total of 7.90g. Ring size 9. The oval top of the ring measures 5/8" x 3/4".
Stats: Ten cultured pearls, 2.1mm to 2.4 mm in size, very light cream 'rose' color with a high luster, medium nacre, mostly round, lightly spotted. One prong set oval standard mixed cut natural almandite garnet, measuring 7.04 x 5.65 x 3.67mm, approximate weight of 1.20ct, clarity is eye clean, type II, medium light, very slightly brownish, slightly purplish red color, (GIA slpR 4/3), of good cut. Finished with eighteen prong set round standard mixed cut natural almandite garnets, measuring 2.67 - 2.55 mm, approximate total weight of 1.08ct, clarity is eye clean, type II, medium, slightly brownish, strongly purplish red color, (GIA stpR 5/3), of good cut.
