Pair of antique Art Nouveau French Baccarat cameo glass vases. Featuring acid cut frosted ice blue Fern Leaf textured background with deep amethyst purple overlay. Skillfully cut with a pattern of poppy flowers and leaves with gilt painted accents. The vases are of unique square form resting on gilt metal footed bases stylized with characteristic Art Nouveau swirled motif. The vases stand 8 5/8" tall x 3 5/8" width at the base. In overall good antique condition. The gilt painted accents on the glass is mostly intact. Wear to the metal mounts. There is the smallest fleabites on the rims and a little bit of roughness to one of the corners on a vine/stem and to one leaf tip. Marked on the bases with the round Baccarat paper labels, one vase with a partial label still visible. The renown cristallerie marked their wares with a paper label beginning in 1860, (which often got lost, worn or washed away), and did not use the permanent etched mark until 1936.
