Fabulous Val Saint Lambert 8 piece vanity or dresser toilette set. Circa 1900. Comprising of three stoppered perfume or cologne bottles, two vaporizer / atomizer perfume bottles, a powder jar with knob handle, a shorter cream or trinket box, and a brush holder. In the pattern Valembert, featuring a charming honey yellow color over clear with lovely tear drop and diamond motif, as shown in the 1908 Val St. Lambert catalog. A beautiful addition to a vanity or dressing table and perfect to add to a collection of Val St. Lambert glass.
Val Saint Lambert glass works was founded in 1825 at Seraing, near Liège in Belgium on the site of a former Cistercian Abbey. King Guillame I of Belgium was among the early shareholders, thus ensuring royal patronage of the company, which has continued to the present day. The glass works is renowned worldwide for its quality and aesthetic designs.
Larger perfume bottle is in good condition with some nibbles to the stopper. Measures 6 1/2" tall x 2 1/2" wide. Medium bottle is good condition with a nibble or two on the stopper and one hidden among the diamond point pattern. Measures 5 3/4" tall x 2 1/8" wide. Smaller bottle is 4 3/8" tall x 1 5/8" and is in good condition, a couple of nibbles on the stopper.
Brush holder is in good condition, measures 5 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" square. Signed to the interior, embossed Val St Lambert Belique
Atomizer bottles measure 6 7/8" tall and 7 1/2" tall. Both in good condition with general wear to the metal fittings. The atomizer bulbs are missing but this could be replaced.
Powder box is signed with a faint embossing to the interior. Signed Val St Lambert Belique. Measures 5" tall x 2 7/8" wide. Condition: There is a small nick on the knob handle hidden among the diamond pattern, with two nicks on the panels of the lid. Base portion is good, having a flat nibble on the very bottom base.
Trinket box also signed inside, embossed Val St Lambert Belique. Measures 1 7/8" tall x 3" diameter. Having a couple of chips to the sharp points on the lid. The bottom portion with a nick to the inner rim.
