An English sterling silver mounted cut glass liquor flask / whisky hip flask. Featuring gilt sterling silver lid with twist and lock closure, and removable drinking cup attached to the base. The lid having a cork lined interior. Bearing a monogram of initials ED. The cut glass body of the flask is elegantly patterned with wheel cut fluted panels and beautifully faceted shoulders. In overall good condition for age and type with general wear / surface scratches from use and handling. The sterling mounts are in good order, a couple of dimples to the sterling cup. The cut glass body of the flask is in good condition with no chips or cracks, some scuffing/scratches to the faceted edges from years of laying down. Bearing hallmarks for London 1916. Maker's marks for Drew & Sons (Ernest & John Summers Drew) active 1913-1934 at Piccadilly London. Also marked at the base with Drew Bros, Piccadilly London. Measures 4 3/4" length x 2 1/2" width.
