Large round Primavera lamp, signed, turquoise glazed ceramic. The Primavera Atelier was a collaboration of designers, artisans, manufacturers and retailers that introduced modernity into the decorative arts. It was active in France between 1912 and 1972 with breaks during the WWI and WW2. At the height of the Art Deco period, there was a Primavera Pavilion at the Paris 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts. The body is clearly marked on the underside with a black painted VF monogram, a mark often found on Primavera ceramics. Zoom into photos to appreciate in detail. Can be used as a lamp or vase as the body is not perforated. This is a heavy and substantial piece weighing almost 8 lbs. unpacked. Crazing and minor imperfections from manufacture as shown.
