Pair Sevres Borek Sipek "Service Semaine" white porcelain cups. Bořek Šípek (1949 – 2016) was a renowned Czech architect and designer known as the father of the neo-Baroque. A Service Semaine set is part of the collection of Sidney's Museum of Applied Arts and Science where a full description of this design and interesting Borek Sipek bio can be found. Tea cups are marked on the underside with the green, modern Manufacture de Sevres mark designed in 1970 by the French abstract painter Georges Mathieu and 90 underneath (for the year 1990). Very hard to find, we've only seen examples available for sale in Japan were they are referred to as Borek Sipek Service Semaine Mercredi and highly sought after. In very good condition as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
