Lovely Hibachi, a Japanese traditional heating device, made out of Kiri / Paulonia wood, apparently a hollowed out trunk section. It is decorated with a raised floral design colored with sprinkled metallic powders, a technique known as Maki-e. It comes complete with its original copper liner which is clearly signed on the underside with large Japanese characters. Perfect to repurpose as a planter or display by itself. A rustic piece in good used condition cracks, scuffs, natural wood imperfections, loss to mother or pearl inlay and restoration as shown. Zoom into photos for details. Shipped professionally packed, fully insured with tracking number.
