Monumental antique French faience Chinoiserie charger entitled "Le Toilette Japonaise." It is decorated with a hand painted scene of three geishas in an interior setting, the first standing fixing the hair of the second who is seated on the floor playing a string instrument while the third approaches with a tea tray. It is marked on the underside with an impressed MONTEREAU B & Cie. and the number 45. Montereau B & Cie refers to the Creil et Montereau faiencerie under the direction of Anatole Barluet from the year 1876. Perfect to decorate an entrance, living, dining room or similar. In very good condition with minor loss to reverse foot rim, light gilt wear and imperfections from the time of manufacture as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
