Antique Wedgwood Majolica Green Leaf Plate - 19th Century, EnglandAntique Wedgwood Majolica Green Leaf Plate - 19th Century, EnglandAntique Wedgwood Majolica Green Leaf Plate - 19th Century, EnglandAntique Wedgwood Majolica Green Leaf Plate - 19th Century, England

Very nice antique Wedgwood majolica green leaf and basket weave border plate. It has a slight iridescence characteristic of Wedgwood majolica and is marked on the back as follows:
WEDGWOOD and letters "O" and "X". The letter "O" corresponds to the year of production 1886. The absence of the word England on the back of this plate tells us it was made pre-1891. Perfect to decorate a country style kitchen, dining room or similar setting. It would look great on a wall or cabinet display by itself or combined with different but complementary green leaf plates. Green leaf majolica plates are a world unto themselves, come in a great variety of patterns that complement each other well and add interest to a collection. In very good condition with stilt marks, crazing typical of majolica and shelf wear to underside consistent with age and use as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.

Measurements: 8" (20.3 cm) diameter approximately.

Item ID: 3408
