Very special Japanese Kutani iron red and gilt large pottery bowl beautifully decorated with mirror images of ducks, scrolls and garlands. A rare and beautiful symmetrical Kutani pattern. Possibly made as a wedding gift as ducks represent marriage and love in Japan. It is decorated in shades of iron red, gilt, black and blue. Perfect to place on a console or sofa table filled with flowers, poutpourri or similar. It is unmarked on the underside as older pieces often are. In very good used condition with wear to paint and imperfections from the time of manufacture as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.

Measurements: 8 1/2" diameter by 4 1/2" high approximately.
