Lovely French Gien majolica / faience artichoke plates. A set of four plates in an elegant, off-white color that blends easily with a wide variety of dining room decor. Each plate is divided into three sections, the center well for the artichoke head, the next size well for the dressing and the large section for what is left of the artichoke bract after you've eaten its meaty end. They are decorated in high relief with a center sunflower, scrolls and large artichoke outer plant leaf shapes. Indispensable if you love to eat artichokes as well as very nice to display on a farmhouse style dresser / vaisselier / china hutch or similar. They are all marked with the Gien mark on the underside. In very good condition, they appear unused, as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
