Charming and elegant antique Haviland & Co. Limoges white pitcher with gilt accents including a tromp l'oeil chord "tied" around the top of the handle. It has a classic shape, wide mouth and a two cup or 16 fl. oz. capacity. The pitcher is marked on the underside with a green underglaze H&Co mark with double underline used from 1876 to 1879. It is also marked with a Haviland Limoges contained within two double circles and, most unusual, an impressed English registry mark. This last mark suggests that Haviland & Co. decorated an English made blank and is evidence of a little know aspect of Haviland & Co.'s history. Perfect as a pitcher or repurposed as a small vase to hold flowers. In very good condition with minor wear to paint and imperfections from the time of manufacture as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
