Lovely antique Christofle delicate flower-shaped silver plate tea spout strainer. It is marked on the interior near the top rim with a square Christofle mark as well as the word CHRISTOFLE in a elongated rectangle shape. The wire ends are inserted into the spout so the basket can catch any stray tea leaves when pouring. Tea pot spout strainers were popular in the 1870-1890s. In very good used condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
