Elegant pair of American Steuben Carder Art Deco art glass footed vases shape number 7316. A design of understated elegance and clear Asian influence not only in its shape but also in its translucent, celadon / jade / ivory coloring. Frederick Carder was an English glassmaker who studied with French glass maker Gallé and was Steuben's art director from 1903 to 1933. A full record of Shape no.: 7316 [footed vase] is available at The Rakow Library Catalog of the Corning Museum of Glass. It was made in twist and smooth surface versions and a variety of color combinations. Perfect to decorate a mantle, console table or to display in a glass cabinet or similar. A rare pair in very good condition as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
