Elegant pair of American Steuben Carder Art Deco art glass footed vases shape number 7316. A design of understated elegance and clear Asian influence not only in its shape but also in its translucent, celadon / jade / ivory coloring. Frederick Carder was an English glassmaker who studied with French glass maker Gallé and was Steuben's art director from 1903 to 1933. It was made in twist and smooth surface versions and a variety of color combinations. Perfect to decorate a mantle, console table or to display in a glass cabinet or similar.
