Antique gentleman's English travel box / case including stationery / file compartments, pen rest, small drawers, embossed green leather lid lining and writing surface. It is made out of oak with a beautiful grain pattern. The outside of the box has two sturdy metal side handles to transport it when closed, a shield-shaped metal plaque on its lid free of monograms and inscriptions, a matching shield-shaped escutcheon and comes complete with key. In very good used condition with wood shrinkage, split to writing surface leather on fold, and minor imperfections as shown. This is a heavy and substantial piece, weighing over 15 lbs. unpacked. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
