Lovely antique Joseph Holdcroft English majolica planter / cache pot / jardiniere decorated with white dogwood flower branches on a brown basket weave pattern. It has a turquoise color interior and it comes with perforation from the time of manufacture for drainage. Joseph Holdcroft was an English potter who worked many years at Minton before establishing his own pottery in 1870, The Sutherland Pottery at Daisy Bank, Longton. This is a heavy and substantial piece weighing about 4 lbs. unpacked. In very good used condition with minor crazing and light scratches to interior bottom as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
