Lovely Swansea porcelain large, shallow bowl decorated with floral bouquets painted in enamels, molding at the edge, and continuous gilt border of dentils, crossed lines and dots. We have seen similar items described as circa 1820's Swansea, a Welsh pottery closely related to Nantgarw. It is made of heavy, thick, white glassy porcelain with an embossed, uncolored pattern and a large enamel painted flower spray in the center surrounded by four smaller bouquets in the embossed reserves along the border. Unmarked as is typical of older pieces and a large proportion of Swansea porcelain. In very good used condition with wear to paint and minor imperfections as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
