Lovely Hanau silver mounted etched crystal square base decanter / bottle with cork stopper topped by a man holding two large geese, one under each arm. The glass is etched with scrolls and garden motifs. The silver mount is marked on the underside with three Storck & Sinsheimer hallmarks. Storck & Sinsheimer was a Hanau, Tyskland silversmith active in the 1874 to 1926 period. Stork & Sinsheimer participated in the 1876 Philadelphia International Exhibition and their specialty was silver mounted glass items such as this one. In very good used condition as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
Measurements: 8 1/2" tall including stopper; 6 5/8" tall bottle height without stopper; 2 7/8" square at base approximately.
