Outstanding pair of antique Old Paris fruit plates with hot pink, gilt and polychrome garland borders, decorated with large and boldly hand-painted peaches still on the branch with green leaves, blossoms and bees on a white center. One shows three fruits, one parted showing the interior, and the other a single fruit. Perfect as wall or cabinet plates. They are marked on the reverse in red as follows:

Henri Beziet, born 1831, is listed in various nineteenth century French directories as a faience merchant, silversmith and gilder. They come ready to display with metal wall hangers included. In very good used condition with hairline to back edge of open peach plate as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
