Fine Nymphenburg porcelain, Rococo style, large square box with bold, three dimensional, floral finial. Both lid and bowl have gilt tooth borders, wavy surfaces and are decorated with hand painted flower bouquets. It is marked on the underside with the green under glaze Nymphenburg Wittelsbach coat of arms used from 1910 to 1975, a hand impressed shield and code EX 240 1012 II. The Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactury was established in the mid 1700's in Bavaria by Elector Max III Joseph of the House of Wittelsbach, one of the oldest Royal dynasties in Germany. King Ludwig II of Neuschwanstein Castle fame as well as Empress Elizabeth of Austria, better known as Sissi, were also of Wittelsbach lineage. Perfect to hold candy, chocolates or similar. In very good used condition with minor loss to finial leaf as shown in last photo. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
