Beautiful pair of antique 19th century colored Italian views:
(1) Lithograph " Villa d'Est, Tivoli " (from Coignet's Vue Pittoresque de l'Italie, first published in Paris in 1825) depicting a group of men and women playing musical instruments and dancing in an outdoor terrace overlooking a small village in the shadow of tall umbrella pines. Inscribed as follows:
Tivoli, Villa d'Est, Coignet del. Imp. Lith de Langlume. Bichebois Lith fig. par V. Adam. SAZERAC ET DUVAL (embossed seal partly concealed by mat).
(2) Engraving of the "Convent of Saint Cosimato" showing a view of the Valerian way with two figures in the left foreground and the Convent of San Cosimato in the distance. Inscribed as follows:
