Antique, pre 1891, Royal Worcester double mouth porcelain vase with bamboo shaped body, simulated bamboo branch handle and raised leaf decoration. It is open on both ends which lends itself to innovative flower arrangements. An interesting shape reminiscent of early African and native American ritual vessels. It's matte, dark copper tone gilt handle and decoration contrasts beautifully with its highly polished cream-colored body. It is marked on the underside with an early green Royal Worcester mark with a semi legible date letter underneath, apparently a "W" which would date it's manufacture to 1885. The absence of the words ‘Royal Worcester England’ around the mark tells us that this vase was made before 1891. In very good used condition with minor wear to gilt as shown.
