Lovely black and white etching of two young foals / colts/ horses getting acquainted across a fence. It is inscribed in pencil "Ed. /250." , "New Neighbors" and signed "C. W. Anderson." Clarence William Anderson (1891-1971) was a Wahoo, Nebraska author and illustrator of children's books. He had a special interest in portraying horses and by the end of his life had published more than 35 books on the subject. This etching is part of his 1948 "Thoroughbreds" portfolio. In good used condition with toning, foxing and small losses, mostly to margins, as shown. Comes matted and framed ready to display. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
