Elegant set of demitasse expresso / mokka cups and saucers decorated with gilt zig zag border on a white ground. They are marked on the underside a green VA mark, the makers mark of Vista Alegre. Vista Alegre was founded in the early 1800's by Portuguese industrialist Pinto Basto. Shortly after, it was granted the title of Royal Factory in recognition of its artistic and fine quality wares. Vista Alegre had a long standing relationship with luxury historic design leader Mottahedeh, who supplied ceramics to the White House, the State Department and Diplomatic Corps as well as several museums. In very good used condition with minor wear to gilt as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
