Extraordinary Art Deco period desk set comprised of four matching solid bronze pieces including double inkwell inkstand, wax seal, letter opener and small bowl. They are decorated with a pine cone and needle motif (pommes de pin in French) and a dark green patina. All pieces are signed Frecourt, the signature of Maurice Frecourt, a French sculptor active in the Art Deco period. The wax seal has a detailed lion and fleur de lys motif. The inkstand, wax seal and bowl are also marked Bronze Veritable (Real Bronze). These are heavy and substantial pieces weighing close to 5 1/2 lbs unpacked. In very good used condition with patina wear, small scratches, ink stains and minor imperfections as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number. Additional photos available.
