Beautiful pair of white parian / bisque busts depicting a young girl and boy. The young boy is inscribed Amor (Latin for Cupid / Eros / Love) and the young girl represents his consort Psyche. They are inscribed on the back R. Kaesbach, the signature of Rudolf Kaesbach (1873 - 1950) a German Art Deco period sculptor with studies in Hanau, Paris and Brussels. He was active in Berlin, was known for his mythological subjects and made porcelain figurines for Rosenthal in the 1930s. The busts sit on fine, gilt bronze bases with Neoclassical motifs of laurel leaves, ribbons, and torch and arrow crests. In very good used condition with minor imperfections as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
