Finely painted antique landscape / architectural watercolor of the medieval Klosterneuburg Augustinian monastery just north of Vienna, overlooking the Danube river. The watercolor is inscribed on the lower right Klosterneübürg, dated 11/X (which, in the European form, means 11th October) and signed with a monogram. The antique gilt wood frame has a label on the verso with the old coat of arms of Vienna (1465–1925). Below the imperial double-headed eagle, the main text on the label reads as follows: Rudolf Bauer, k.k. Hof-Vergolder, Wien (meaning Rudolf Bauer, Vienna Court Gilder). In very good condition with toning to paper and imperfections to frame as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
