This image is featured on the cover of the 1937 book "Child art and Franz Cizek" published in Vienna by the Austrian Junior Red Cross. Franz CIZEK (1865-1946) was born in northern Bohemia but moved to Vienna at the age of 19. He became a genre and portrait painter, a teacher and reformer of art education. Cizek began the Child Art Movement in Vienna, opening the Juvenile Art Class in 1897. Among those he influenced was the Swiss Bauhaus leader and painter Johannes Itten. Lithograph comes nicely framed, ready to display, in a gilt wood frame with a painted blue border that picks up the blue of the lithograph's sky. In very good used condition as shown, un-examined outside of frame. Photo taken through glass which explains reflections. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
