The text around the map covers, in reverse chronological order, the period between 178 BC when Seleucus sent Heliodorus to Jerusalem to collect money to pay the Romans to around 283 BC when the King of Macedonia, Demetrius, dies betrayed by his son in law Seleucus. Undated but we have seen references of a similar item in a German library dated 1762. Comes with a light green mat and later gilt frame and is ready to display. In good used condition, mounted on board with toning, small perforation towards center of map [above word MEDIA] and minor imperfections as shown.
