THE CUT FINGER. David Wilkie (1785-1841) was a Scottish painter known for his genre scenes as well as the Visit of King George IV to Scotland portraying the King in dressed in kilts. Comes ready to display in a beautiful mahogany frame with gilt accents. Engraving is in good used condition with foxing in the dark areas, toning, spots and small tears near the margins that can be mostly concealed with a new mat.
