LES CASCADES DE SCEAUX - A Paris Chez I Mariette, rue St. Jacques, a la Victoire etaux Colonnes d'hercules

sont sur la gauche en entrant dans le Jardin, ou la Situation en pente a donne occasion de faire plusiers scenes que en rendent l'aspect admirables: et ce qu est plus surprenant, est l'abondance de eaux dans un lieu si eleve, qui ont ete heureusement decouvertes par le Sr. le Jongleur, et dont la chute, apres avoir enrichi les Perrons et leu Cascades (qui sont le l'Invention de Mr. le Notre) vient terminer dans le grand Basin octogone.

[on the left as you enter into the garden, the slope has given opportunity to make several scenes that gives it an admirable aspect; and what is more surprising, is the abundance of waters in a place so high, which had fortunately been discovered by Sr. le Jongleur, and including the fall, after having enriched the steps and waterfalls (which are the the invention of Mr. le Notre) that end in the large octagonal basin.]

The etchings come matted and framed, ready to display. In very good used condition, mounted on board with glue residue concealed by mat and minor imperfections to frames as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.

Measurements: Frames: 18 5/8" by 15 1/2"; Plate Mark: 12 1/8" by 8 3/4" (30.9 cm by 21.9 cm) approximately.
