Fine Meiji period pair of Japanese Arita dishes with celadon glaze and underglaze blue Ginger Lily flower asymmetrical design decoration. They are marked on the underside with the Aoki Kyodai-Shokai (Aoki Brothers Company) mark. The Aoki Kyodai-Shokai was founded in the 1890's by Aoki Jinichiro (1863-1955) in the town of Arita. Underside shows one firing support mark which is consistent with other examples Aoki plates we've seen. In good used condition with small scratches and minor imperfections from the time of manufacture as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number. Price is for the pair (two plates).
