Limited Edition Sandpipers Woodblock Print signed Elaine Wentworth - 20th Century, Boston
Very nice contemporary woodblock print of sandpiper birds close-up. It is inscribed in pencil below the image Sandpipers 12/100 Ind. Ed. and signed Elaine Wentworth. Born circa 1924 as Elaine Magnuson, she became Elaine Wentworth after marrying fellow watercolor painter Murray Wentworth with whom she co-authored the book Watercolor for All Seasons. In 1986 she won the Gold Medal of Honor at the 100th Anniversary Exhibition of the New England Watercolor Society. Wentworth's work may be found in the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland, Maine as well as in corporate and private collections. The woodblock comes framed, ready to display and in very good used condition as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
