Fine antique English plate decorated with a landscape and turquoise and gilt borders. It is marked on the underside in red script Kirkstall Abbey and has an incised English registry mark. Kirkstall Abbey is a Cistercian monastery, now in ruins, founded c.1152 on the north bank of the River Aire in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. In very good condition as shown.
