Beautifully composed and brightly colored Japanese woodblock print of a rooster and hen after the original by Koson. Ohara Koson (1877–1945) was a Japanese painter and printmaker of the late 19th and early 20th centuries well known for his depictions of birds. It is signed Unhyo, a Japanese woodblock artist active in the 1930's. The red circular publisher seal of Mount Fuji and printing tool corresponds to the Shima Art Company. Beautifully matted and in very good condition as shown. Shipped professionally packed, fully insured with tracking number.
