Beautiful Art Nouveau / Jugendstil set of 800/1000 purity silver handled fish silverware set. The handles are decorated front and back with raised, stylized flowers and tendrils typical of the Art Nouveau / Jugendstil period. Pieces are marked 800 in two parts of the handle. They also have a well worn crescent and crown marks representing the Reichsmark (entire German state), a compulsory silver mark in Germany since 1888. The blades have a lovely curved shape and etched floral decor on one of the sides in a style that complements the handles. The blades are most likely a silver plated alloy as is customary in this kind of silverware. The set includes 6 knives and 5 forks, all monogrammed. In very good used condition with minor signs of wear and imperfections. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
