Richly gilt white porcelain lidded jar with applied white porcelain roses and gilt branch-shaped handles. It is marked on the underside with a green VA mark. This is a fine and heavy piece weighing about 2 1/4 lbs empty and unpacked. Vista Alegre was founded in the early 1800's by Portuguese industrialist Pinto Basto. Shortly after, it was granted the title of Royal Factory in recognition of its artistic and fine quality wares. In very good condition with small losses to applied flowers as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.

Measurements: 7.5" tall including lid finial; 4" tall without lid; 5.5" diameter at top opening.
