Pretty English reticulated silverplate round basket with cobalt blue glass liner and handle. The basket is marked on the underside with a partly legible figure of what appears to be an elephant, the initials CJA, Made in England and EPNS inside a shield. The elephant hallmark may indicate it was made for the India market or it's an India Colonial piece made by a British manufacturer. Perfect to fill with chocolates, candies, cookies or even scones. Both basket and glass lining are in very good used condition as shown. Measurements: 4" tall (not including handle) by 4.25" diameter (10 cm by 10.8 cm; Height with extended handle is about 7.75" (or 19.7 cm) approximately.
