Monumental 41" tall antique Black Forest wall clock topped by a male deer / stag head with vivid glass eyes above two crossed rifles. A finely carved rabbit and pheasant hang upside down on each side of the clock face and underneath the hunter's satchel, all surrounded by vine leafs. Around the clock's face is a carved wood hunter's horn, better known as a French horn although its origin is German. Early hunting horns were round so the hunter could pass his arm through and blow while riding a horse. Wood has a lovely old patina and appears to be walnut. Includes original winding key. In very good used condition with minor imperfections as shown. Professionally packed and shipped fully insured with tracking number.
