Beautiful large Japanese Awaji Ware pottery vase with a bright turquoise color glaze. Awaji pottery was made between 1830 and 1939 on Japan's Awaji island. The kilns closed in 1939 before World War II. Unmarked on the underside as older, pre 1890 pieces often are. Comes ready to display in a fine carved rosewood base. Displays beautifully, discounted due to condition issues including neck repair, hairlines and imperfections as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
